Are you an empty egg? This Sunday we took a look at empty, plastic Easter eggs, and examined a man named Ciaphas. As the High Priest of Israel, Ciaphas sure looked like he was righteous. He wore the right clothes, performed all of the correct rituals and kept his outside "clean," but inside, his heart was empty. He did not recognize Jesus as the Son of God. As followers of Jesus, we may sometimes look at others outward appearance and judge them, either good or bad, based on that. But, Jesus loved all people no matter what they looked like. When we have Jesus inside, He can help us see others the way He does.

We are learning the same verse each week all month, and that is John 11:25. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.

Next Sunday we will hear about rotten eggs!
